Hand Wovens

Inspired by traditional Indonesian textiles

In this collection I used trim and Legos as embroidery. The Legos allude to architecture as the end use is residential. The pieces with Legos are show pieces that can easily be altered for practical end use. My love for experimentation is represented through the embroidery mixed in with a variety of yarn types. Structures used include straight and pointed twills.

Inspired by Anime Tekkonkinkreet

I went for capturing the color palette in specific scenes from the anime. The Anime is very vibrant, which is a huge part of the allure of the film. Along with color mixing I enjoyed creating different surface textures and aesthetics. I did this by combining various yarns together on one cone and using them as if they were a plied yarn. Structures used include pointed twills, warp ribs, filling ribs and basket weaves.

Inspired by birds and nature

This collection has a split warp both composed of a dark green and tan warp. Along with being inspired by birds and nature some of the pieces have a tribal feel through the use of color and structure. Structures used in this collection include straight twills, pointed twills and twill gamps (warp and weft cross in same pattern or color).
