Melissa

My name is Melissa Matthews. I am a Textile Designer that is inspired from what's fresh off the runway to nature, music, and international pop culture. My focus is on wovens and knits but I enjoy print as well. There is something magical about choosing the yarns, seeing and feeling the fabric that results. Watching my designs be woven on a jacquard machine or knitted is the most rewarding moment to me of the entire design process. In my free time I enjoy traveling, trying new foods, discovering new places and perusing through malls and online apparel websites to see what is trending in urban wear.
